Visit Beer Can Alley and Watch the Seasons Change Year Round

Imagine this, it’s a gorgeous fall afternoon but it’s COVID season so what is there to do? Well a good place to drive through and look at the gorgeous leaves and beautiful scenery is at Beer Can Alley in Salem, IL. It is originally called this because people would go and throw the trash for example, beer cans, throughout the area and the name just stuck as Beer Can Alley. Now this place is clean and picked up with no trash. It’s good for a quick drive through or even a quick photo shoot.

People come from all over just to get a quick drive through the beautiful scenery. People take pictures here for multiple reasons. One might be that there is a big event like a wedding. But there are also people who just go there for more casual pictures such as senior pictures. This place is a great area for your photographic needs. This scenery is so beautiful due to the fact that the leaves are changing and during fall the colors are gorgeous.

Did you know that Beer Can Alley is actually Orange Osage Trees? It is called Beer Can Alley because this place was once lined end to end with beer cans. But this changed when a recycling movement took place in the 70s and 80s. This location even has its own place on a photo card. The cleanliness makes it a perfect place for you and your family to take a drive through and admire the pure beauty of the scene.

I remember being younger and going to Walmart. We would always go through this place I didn’t know what it was but if felt magical. This place felt like we were going through a funnel. It felt like a fairytale or something but actually it was just Beer Can Alley. I can remember this gorgeous scene from years ago which goes to prove it is definitely worth the visit.
